Brenda Fox Dixon LCSW of Life Help Now is a trained personal coach, mentor, counselor/consultant concerned with the condition of the mind and heart of people. Her approach is intuitive, motivational, inspirational, powerful, humorous, and practical. Ms. Dixon’s back ground has been in the medical Social work field as well as working with children’s programs to lead the children’s/parents to a healthier life style. This counselor’s degrees include bachelors in social work, masters in social work. These degrees have led her to the title of licensed clinical social work in both Kentucky and Tennessee. Ms. Dixon has counseled at Spring Hill Counseling in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Years of training has brought this counselor to years of work in “Healing Room” in Madison, Tennessee bring people to the wholeness of life with out scars, wounds, and generational hurts. Dream interpretation have been incorporated in sessions or in individual setting to aid client in better understanding of their lives through dreaming.

Brenda, presently is providing private counseling in Smyrna, and Brentwood Tennessee working with teens, youth, parents, couples, and individuals. She provides coaching with relationship skill, grief management, and parenting solutions. “Mentoring with a Purpose” is available for clients that want to learn as they go with their new found skills from prior consultation.

In Person Counseling:

Available for adults, children, couples and families through an interactive supportive counseling process. Issues my client's encounter grow from relationship issues, depression, anxiety, addiction, work stress, substance abuse, life changes, school, and behavioral problems. Most insurance excepted.

One on One Mentoring:

Client that has already received counseling. Client benefits from experiencing exercises that aid client in progressing forward with their new skills. Time to learn next steps to take with new-found skills.

Life Skills Training:

Client learns effective communication skills, Parenting skills, methods for staying connected with their spouse when ‘things’ do not appear to be working.

Life Coaching:

Client benefits from coaching by moving forward in learning more about implementing their own healthy desires or learning about ‘things’ that block their developmental growth in life.

Dream Interpretation:

Client shares dreams and they are interpreted so they will have better understanding of the purpose of the Dream.

Phone Consultation:

Long Distance Clients may use this form of consultation.


March 1, 2021: Productive Procrastination

When I was attending the great University of Kentucky working on my Social Work Degree, I had endless writing/reading. To relieve the stress of this going on for years of my life, I learned how to implement tiny little breaks that would refresh me. Some of these were walking outside around my house for a couple of circles, some were cleaning out a cabinet under my sink and the one that helped me the most was organizing my closets. JOY is happiness and pleasure mixed in together. It comes around when things look grim,unccrtain, in the now, unexpectedly, when we think not about yesterday or tomorrow. Sometimes JOY comes when we are thinking of Dreams or the desire of our heart. JOY keeps the body and soul youthful. Probably, best anti-ager possible. JOY supercharges our Dopamine and Serotonin. February 5, 2021: WHAT TO DO IF YOU FEEL EMBARRASSMENT?

How many times in your life have you said something or you laughed at the wrong time or you maybe did something that was embarrassing? I can remember a time when my Professor came out of the Lounge with toilet paper stuck on the bottom of his shoe. My dilemma was whether to point this out or to act like I had not seen this paper on his shoe at all. In this case, I was thinking what it would feel like to be in his place.
